Use Virgin Coconut Butter instead of butter or margarine. Try it in biscuits, cakes, muffins and pastry or add it to pancake batter. Excellent straight from the spoon.

Coconut oil is rich in medium chain triglycerides (MCTs), which are easily digestible, as they do not need bile to break down. MCTs are an excellent source of energy and can even be used as part of a weight management programme - dieters and athletes prefer coconut oil for this reason.

MCTs are made of lauric, caprylic, capric and caproic acids. Virgin Coconut Butter contains 44-51% lauric acid, known also to possess antimicrobial properties, and 7-9.5% caprylic acid, known also to contain anti-fungal properties. Virgin Coconut Butter also contains myristic acid, used in metabolism for the stabilisation of cell protein. It also contains the Omega 6 essential fatty acid linoleic acid and the Omega 9 fatty acid oleic acid.

Unlike saturated fats, like butter, coconut oil doesn`t raise cholesterol levels. In fact, Polynesians who use coconut oil daily are known to have low cholesterol levels. And, unlike margarine, coconut oil contains no toxic trans-fatty acids or easily-rancified polyunsaturated oils.

Omega Excellence Organic Virgin Coconut Butter is non-dairy, suitable for a raw food diet and retains the full flavour and aroma of coconut.

Virgin Coconut Butter is packaged in specially-made opaque, recyclable PET tubs, which help protect the oil against harmful UV light and oxygen.
