Researchers believe that Selenium is an important antioxidant mineral for the body`s general well-being. In True Food® Selenium, selenium has been bio-transformed by a culture of Saccharomyces cerevisiae to a true food form for easy digestion and absorption.

About Selenium

Selenium is needed for the body’s own antioxidant enzyme, glutathione peroxidase. It also helps support and maintain healthy cardiovascular, immune, liver and male reproductive function, eyes, skin, hair, pancreas and joints.

Selenium is a trace mineral that is essential to good health. Selenium is incorporated into proteins to make selenoproteins, which are important antioxidant enzymes.

Because of the way the True Food products are made and absorbed in the body they do not have to be attached to a carrier. The body sees the True Food products as food which means there are many more opportunities (ie receptor sites) for absorption in the digestive tract than there are for regular supplements.

Ingredients:

Selenium. Tableted with natural ingredients; Lithothamnion calcarea, microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable stearic acid, silicon dioxide, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose coating, vegetable magnesium stearate, natural organic vanilla flavour.

CONTAINS NO added sugar, salt, wheat, gluten, lactose, dairy products, artificial preservatives, colours or flavourings.

Dosage Guide:

Adults: Take 1 tablet a day with or between meals.

Children over 8 years: Take 1 tablet every other day with a meal.

A daily multivitamin is also recommended.

The True Food supplements are fermented in a special yeast culture, however once the fermentation process is complete the long chain proteins in the yeast culture are broken down and it is these that commonly cause problems such as allergies. Therefore the True Food Supplements can be tolerated by most people.
