Nettle is well known for being a valuable source of minerals particularly iron, calcium and silica. Nettle also contains flavonoid glycosides, sterols, chlorophyll, carotenoids, vitamins (B, C and K), phenolic acids, along with histamine, serotonin and acetylcholine. Nettle leaf has been shown to assist with inflammatory response and eliminative functions.
Horsetail is a good source of trace minerals, particularly silica (5-7.7%), and its traditional uses promote the health of hair, nails and connective tissue.
