The parent fatty acid in the Omega 3 family of polyunsaturates is Alpha-Linolenic Acid which can be converted in the body to longer chain members such as Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA).
DHA and EPA are essential to health and particularly important for brain function. Both DHA and EPA are vital for sending and receiving messages in the brain and DHA is also useful for normal visual development.
The main dietary sources of Omega 3 Fatty Acids are oily fish such as mackerel and herring which are little consumed by Western populations.

Dosage Guide:

Contraindication:
Not suitable for individuals taking anti-blood clotting drugs such as Warfarin, Coumarin and Heparin.
