BioCare OmegaCare - Pure Fish Oil With Oil Of Orange - 225ml
OmegaCare combines Pure Fish Oil with Oil of Orange. Fish oil supplies a good source of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, two essential fatty acids.
Omega-3 fatty acids help maintain a healthy heart and facilitate the utilisation of oxygen by the heart muscle. They also help maintain the integrity of the epithelial tissue lining the lungs and intestinal tract and the skin.
The parent fatty acid in the Omega 3 family of polyunsaturates is Alpha-Linolenic Acid which can be converted in the body to longer chain members such as Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA).
When taken in conjunction with a low fat diet, fish oils may help maintain normal cholesterol levels and platelet integrity. OmegaCare is flavoured with natural essential oil of orange to increase palatability.
The main dietary sources of Omega 3 Fatty Acids are oily fish such as mackerel and herring which are little consumed by Western populations.

Dosage Guide:
Children 2 - 5 years: Take one fifth of a teaspoon (or 1ml) a day with food or as professionally directed.
Children 5+ years: Take half or 1 whole of a teaspoon a day with food or as professionally directed.
Adults: Take 2 - 4 teaspoons a day with food or as professionally directed.
Can be taken directly from the spoon or mixed in water or juice.
NB. Refrigerate after opening.
Contraindication:
Not suitable for individuals taking anti-blood clotting drugs such as Warfarin, Coumarin and Heparin.
