Brita Classic Filter Cartridge - 12 Pack

The Brita® Classic filter cartridge reduces limescale and other substances such as chlorine which affect the taste and odour in your tap water. Furthermore it reduces aluminium and certain heavy metals (like copper and lead) and certain pesticides (like diurone).

Organic impurities are also reduced. You will also have less limescale build up in your domestic appliances.

The result is cleaner, clearer water for great tasting hot and cold drinks, plus other uses such as watering your plants or cooking.

The Classic Four Step Filtration Process

Step 1: Pre-Filtration
A top mesh screens out larger particulate matter from the water. This is the pre-filtration.

Step 2: Carbon Filtration
Activated carbon granules act like a sponge, sucking up Chlorine (taste and odour), as well as organic compounds such as Benzene, Toluene, and Tetrachloroethylene, as they pass through the filter.

Step 3: Ion Exchange
An Ion Exchange Resin reduces limescale and acts like a magnet to attract and hold the contaminants Lead ,Copper, and Aluminium, and certain other heavy metals.

Step 4: Final Filtration
In the fourth and last step a mesh filter retains the particle mixture to ensure only clean and clear water passes through.
