Sunrise System SRS 200 - Sunrise Alarm Clock
|
The Sunrise SRS 200 Dawn Simulator combines the innovative features of the original with an integral lamp to enable you to wake or relax with dawn or dusk light simulation set to suit your own pattern of waking and sleeping.
The integral lamp mimics a morning sunrise and it will reach full brightness at the wake up time you have chosen. At that time you can wake to a sounder or you can choose to wake with just the dawn light simulation.
The Sunrise SRS 200 Dawn Simulator uses the latest technology to create a natural light alarm clock.
The lamp mimics a morning sunrise and it will reach full brightness at the alarm wake up time you have chosen. You can choose to wake up to the gradually brightening light or also set the alarm sounder which gradually increases in volume to wake you gently and naturally. No more harsh awakenings!

Q. |
Please tell me, is the light from these units the full spectrum, as in SAD lamps, or just an ordinary lamp? |
A. |
Sunrise alarm clocks such as the SRS200 do not employ bright light therapy similar to SAD Lamps and are not measured in Lux. They instead employ light therapy in the form of a simulated sunrise to engage your natural circadian rhythms (your bodyclock), by synchronising these they help to alleviate the symptoms of SAD. |
|
Q. |
Does this clock come with a warranty? |
A. |
Yes. All of our sunrise alarm clocks come with a 12 month warranty as standard. |
|
Q. |
Does this clock come supplied with a bulb or do I have to buy one separately? |
A. |
Yes, this sunrise alarm clock is supplied with a bulb. There would be no need to buy one separately. |
|
Q. |
How does this product help in the treatment of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) ? |
A. |
Sunrise alarm clocks such as the Sunrise System employ light therapy in the form of a simulated sunrise to engage your natural circadian rhythms (your bodyclock), by synchronising these they help to alleviate the symptoms of SAD. |
|
Q. |
Is a bulb supplied with this clock? If so, what type of bulb is it? And can I use other types of bulb with it? |
A. |
The bulbs used in the SRS models are 60watt candle bulbs with a normal tungsten filament. The E14 refers to the size and type of bulb, this being a candle bulb. Any other bulb used in the clock must be of this size and type. |
|
Q. |
Where can I buy daylight bulbs for the SRS 200? |
A. |
The Lumie Replacement Bulbs are compatible and suitable for use with the SRS models. |
|
Q. |
Does this product run on batteries? |
A. |
No, all of our sunrise alarm clocks are mains operated, including this model. |
|
Q. |
If I select the light ONLY to wake me, how can I be sure to wake at the desired time without using the back up beeper? |
A. |
The beeper can be used as a back up until your body gets used to waking up to the natural light. This only usually takes a few days. However, if you are afraid of not waking up it may be a good idea to keep the back up beeper active just in case. Please note the back up beeper will not sound until the end of the sunrise, normally you would be awake by this time and able to disable the beeper before it sounds. |
|
Q. |
How often on average do you need to replace the lightbulb? |
A. |
It is difficult to say how long the bulb may last. They are ordinary tungsten bulbs and should last as long as any ordinary household bulb. |

Very disappointed. The controls are fiddly to operate. The light is very harsh. Aesthetically it is not pleasing - it more resembles a dalek. The backlight is too bright even on "dim". I am not at all happy with this product. |

I was sceptical to say the least about the concept of waking to a light, but I'm happy that it serves its purpose. Getting up at 5.30-6.00am is no problem now, and you get going quicker in my opinion. Its a peaceful way to start your day - no blarring, jolting alarm. Its a bit fiddly to set up initially, but having different alarms for different days is good. There are features (sunset) I'd never use but all round it does what it says on the box! |

I love it !! ok, so it's not the best looking alarm clock in the world, but it wakes me up before the beeper goes off. I'm not sure how good it'll be as the mornings get lighter, but in the winter it is excellent !! |

I bought this the other day and I love it. I definitely makes getting up in the morning a lot easier. It is easy to operate and there is no flickering in the light etc. The only restriction it has is the light turns off automatically 10 mins after the set alarm time. This is not too much of a problem, but if you are used to snoozing the alarm for a while before you get up, you could be in a bit of trouble.
This alarm unfortunately does not make me want to go to work - but I am hoping a new model that addresses this is available soon. A very simple but effective product that I highly recommend. |
