St. Johns wort (Hypericum perforatum) is a perennial plant indigenous to Europe. It is named for its tendency to flower and be harvested around the 24th of June which is St. Johns day. Traditionally the plant was used to ward off evil - it was hung over religious icons round the house on St. Johns day.
Whilst the St. Johns wort plant is seen by many as beautiful and graces many ornamental gardens, it is also viewed as a noxious weed that is toxic in pasture land in many countries where it has been introduced.

update from continuous use from 2017 i would not be without this oil - easily absorbed and gives my skin a warm glow. I have had ME and fibromyalgia which seemed to be triggered by a virus - it is still ongoing but i am certain that the use of this oil has made a significant difference to my symptoms ( also had shingles in the past ( before i started using this oil - feel as though it is giving me extra immune support from any sort of corona virus - not even had a cold for over 4 years which i think is very strange but not complaining - will carry on using the oil

reduces any feeling of burning. you need to be aware that the oil flows from the bottle too freely and could easily go to waste.

This oil is incredible for all sorts of dry skin ailments, and as it`s absorbed by the skin, the body`s well being is uplifted. Two for one! It does flow rather freely but now I know I`m prepared.

Lovely oil and I`m sure it has perked up my mood! Only downside is that it says to use sparingly which proves difficult when the top has an almost full flow valve on it!
