Weleda Body Oils contain only pure plant oils, rich in essential fatty acids and anti-oxidising vitamins which help to support the natural hydration and regeneration processes of the skin, leaving it more elastic, smooth and supple.
Independent dermatological tests proved* that Weleda Lavender Body Oil improves the skin both visibly and measurably. When used for 28 days: skin hydration was significantly increased as moisture content increased by 29.3% and skin elasticity/firmness by 20.5%. There was also a significant reduction in roughness as smoothness increased by 23.5%.
You can always trust Weleda products to be of the purest quality. Many of the ingredients are grown biodynamically in our Demeter-certified gardens, which are the largest in the world; or from maintained wild cultivation through long-established, fairly-traded agreements with local farmers.
The natural ingredients, quality control processes and production methods for Weleda body care products meet the same stringent standards as Weleda's licensed medicines - far beyond the standards required by current legislation and regulation. Our body care products are certified by NaTrue as natural cosmetics so you can see at a glance that the product is genuinely natural.
Unlike other certification schemes which are often expensive to sign up to and lucrative for the certifying body, NaTrue is a not-for-profit initiative. Started in 2008, by an international group of natural and organic manufacturers sharing the highest ideals, NaTrue operates worldwide.
Weleda started in 1921 in Switzerland as a pharmaceutical laboratory with its own plant garden. Today, they are an award-winning, world-leading manufacturer of NATRUE-certified personal care products and natural remedies.
Weleda are contributing to a world in which health and beauty unfold in harmony with nature and human beings. They want to develop products that are not only good for you, but also for nature and the people they work with. That's why they conduct their business in a way that is socially responsible and ecologically sound.
