Take care of your skin health from the inside out
The carefully selected ingredients in this recipe aid digestion, support your body’s natural detoxification process and reduce inflammation. All the ingredients support your overall wellbeing and skin health, helping you maintain healthy and glowing skin.
Excellent source of omega-3, protein and antioxidants
Wild salmon is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, essential for skin health. These healthy fats help keep your skin hydrated, improve elasticity and reduce inflammation, resulting in a smoother and more youthful complexion.
Salmon is also a rich source of high-quality protein, necessary for collagen production. Collagen is a structural protein that helps maintain skin firmness and elasticity.
Wild salmon contains antioxidants, such as astaxanthin, which help protect the skin from oxidative damage caused by free radicals. Antioxidants promote a healthy and radiant complexion.
Carvolo Nero – a fibre boost
The high fibre content of Cavolo Nero aids in healthy digestion and supports gut health. A well-functioning digestive system can lead to a clearer complexion and improved skin health.
Cavolo Nero is also rich in vitamin C and beta-carotene, antioxidants that help protect the skin from oxidative stress from environmental factors. They can also assist in collagen production, promoting a more youthful appearance.
Broccoli – an antioxidant powerhouse
Broccoli contains compounds that aid the body’s natural detoxification process, helping to eliminate toxins and promote clearer skin.
Packed with antioxidants, such as vitamins C and E, broccoli helps combat free radicals and protect the skin from damage, leading to a more radiant complexion and reducing signs of ageing.
Enjoy the delicious flavours, knowing that you are giving your skin the care and nutrients it deserves.
Ingredients (for 2 people)
- 240g wild salmon
- ½ chopped lemon
- 2 x handfuls Cavolo Nero
- 2 x handfuls broccoli
- 90g quinoa
For the dressing:
- 1 x tsp organic tamari
- 1 x tsp organic sesame seed oil
- 1 x tsp organic miso paste
- 1 x crushed garlic clove
- 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
- Sesame seeds to sprinkle
Method
- Bake the salmon wrapped in parchment paper and some chopped lemon in the oven for 20 mins at 200°C (Fan 180°C).
- While the salmon is cooking bring two pans (one steamer) to the boil with water. Once boiling add quinoa to the non-steamer pan and boil for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, chop the vegetables, then add to the steamer pan in the first tier to steam for 5-8 minutes.
- As everything cooks, make your dressing. Simply add all the ingredients to the bowl and mix (use a blender if you prefer a smoother consistency).
- Once cooked, drain the quinoa and vegetables, then plate up and top with the cooked salmon.
- Drizzle the dressing over everything and enjoy!
