Ethique are a New Zealand beauty brand on a mission to #giveupthebottle. They make sustainable, plastic-free solid shampoo, conditioner and skin care. Their products are cruelty-free, vegan, and made with natural and organic ingredients. Since they were founded in 2012, they have prevented over 25 million single-use plastic bottles from being manufactured and disposed of in our landfills and oceans.
Ethique began in 2012 when university student Brianne started mixing formulas in her New Zealand kitchen, after growing frustrated with the sheer volume of plastic waste created by bathroom essentials. She found it ridiculous that up to 95% of a bottle of shampoo or conditioner is made up of water, since we already have water readily available in our bathrooms.
A company with certified B Corp status meets the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, balancing profit and purpose. Ethique have undergone the rigorous B Corp assessment process and received certification in 2015.
