Ingredients

  • 400g chickpeas (with liquid)
  • ½ tablespoon tahini
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ½ lemon, zested and juiced
  • 1 garlic clove, finely grated
  • Sea salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Olive oil

Method

  1. Blend the chickpeas with half of the liquid until smooth.
  2. Add the turmeric, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, tahini, sea salt and black pepper and pulse until thoroughly combined.
  3. Spoon into a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil and enjoy with toasted whole grain pitta or crudités.
