Before first usage boil the cup for 3-5 min. Fold the cup and insert it into the vagina, when inserting keep it angled towards the tailbone. You can use a water based lubricant to make insertion easier.
When in place, try to pull the stem a bit. If you feel some resistance, the vacuum has been created and the cup has been placed successfully! Let the cup unfold inside the vagina and it creates a light vacuum to prevent leakage. Use the enclosed instructions for further information on inserting your OrganiCup.
If you find the stem uncomfortable after a couple of tries, you can cut it shorter. Some women remove the stem completely.
When it’s time to remove the cup, you should start by washing your hands and relax your pelvic floor muscles. Simply remove by breaking the vacuum by pinching the bottom of the cup. Take it out and empty the blood down the toilet. Public toilets are not a problem as you can wipe with tissue or OrganiWipes, then wash when you get home.
The OrganiCup is suitable to wear at night, it needs changing every 12 hours and there is no risk of leaking once the vacuum is formed with the vaginal walls. If you are new to menstrual cups we recommend emptying more frequently initially until your know your flow better.
