About 5-hydroxytryptophan (5HTP) and Serotonin

The neurotransmitter, 5-hydroxytryptophan (5HTP) is a compound created in the body which is used to regulate serotonin levels in brain and central nervous system. 5HTP is the less well known cousin of serotonin (5HT). 5HTP can help maintain a balanced outlook and may help support healthy weight management and sleep patterns.

Niacin (Vitamin B3) (nicotinamide) 30mg NE
Vitamin B6 10mg
- as Pyridoxal-5-phosphate 5mg
- as Pyridoxine HCI (hydrochloride) 5mg
Folic acid 100mcg
Biotin 50mcg
Zinc 5mg
5HTP (L-5-hydroxytryptophan) 100mg

Ingredients

Bulking agent: rice bran; L-5-hydroxytrytophan, capsule: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (carrageenan)*; niacin (as nicotinamide), zinc citrate, pyridoxal-5-phosphate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, anti-caking agent; silicon dioxide; anti-caking agent: magnesium stearate*; folic acid, biotin.

*(vegetarian source).

Usage

Adults: Take 1 capsule preferably before bed, with a carbohydrate snack.

Notes

Store in a cool, dry, steam free environment.

Keep out of reach of children.

Contraindications:

Not advisable if pregnant or taking fenfluramine.

If gastro-intestinal discomfort occurs, reduce intake.

Care should also be taken if being prescribed SSRIs.

Would definitely recommend this product when you are feeling low. Certainly helps lift low moods after about a week.

I take these when a good night's sleep is important. Seratone helps maintain the most refreshing cycle of deep sleep, this brand does the job!

I can vouch for the efficacy of this product. Have used it for years on and off, sometimes when run down and a bit low and at other times when, for extended periods, the mornings are difficult. It works.

Great product, non GMO. A noticable mood improvement after about a weeks usage at 2 caps/day.
