LAMBERTS Garlic 8250mg is a high potency tablet, carefully formulated to ensure the ‘allicin potential’ is preserved whilst the special coating reduces the garlic odour.
The active ingredients in garlic are believed to be the many sulphur-containing compounds, one of which is alliin. This is converted to allicin when the garlic is chewed or crushed. Allicin gives garlic its characteristic smell and is believed to be responsible for the health benefits of garlic.

Each tablet contains a level of garlic, equivalent to 8250mg of fresh garlic, with an allicin potential of 5500mcg.
The garlic used in these tablets is significantly closer to the nutritional profile of natural, raw garlic.
Garlic 8250mg has now replaced Garlic 1650mg in the Lamberts range however, the new product is the same strength as the old product in terms of the amount of extract (500mg) and the allicin potential (5500mcg). Lamberts are now using a different, less concentrated starting material for the product, so the amount of actual garlic used to make each tablet is now 8250mg instead of 1650mg. Please be assured that the strength of the product has not changed and this is still a one a day supplement.
