The Organic Echinacea Tincture is made with fresh UK grown Echinacea purpurea (whole plant) in organic alcohol. Suitable for ages 12+.
Echinacea Origin
The Echinacea species are perennial herbs native to Midwestern North America although they grow well in the UK and North European climates. Of the nine species, E. Angustifolia, E. Purpurea, and E. Pallida are the most commonly used.
Historically, Echinacea has been used by the American Indians for more illnesses than any other plant.
Echinacea Benefits and Properties
The main use of Echinacea medicinally has been to help boost our immune systems and fight infections, with research also suggesting that Echinacea is beneficiail in preventing colds - making this herb particularly relevant in the winter months.
Echinacea contains three major groups of constituents that may work together, including alkylamides/polyacetylenes, caffeic acid derivatives, and polysaccharides.

an absolute must to take a little bit of this through the winter months when working in a school. i find its better as a preventative medicine than a cure for when the cold actually strikes. love the viridian company.

I absolutely always go to echinacea tincture if I feel a cold coming on and it really does seem to lessen the symptoms and assist with faster recovery. However, I dropped a star because trying to get the drops out of the bottle takes forever and I wish Viridian would sort this out. I try poking a toothpick in the hole and have even got rid of the stopper and measured the liquid into a measuring cup. For the price they charge, I think they should sort it ! Apart from that, super product.

Disappointed, this is not a replacement for Vogel equivalent. Not as good value as it appears, in reality almost twice the price for organic, so should have checked ingredients. Both are 50ml bottles but this product is 480mg to 1ml as oppose to 860mg per 1ml for Vogel, additionally latter extract contains both herb and root, whereas Viridian does not specify.

Both products brilliant. Viridian definitely helps me to get to sleep at night. As far as echinacea is concerned I cant speak highly enough of it. If I feel a sore throat or sniffle coming on and take it twice a day I know I will be able to fight things off. Im going on a long haul flight soon and am definitely going to keep putting the drops in my water while on the plane!

I love this echinacea tincture. Whenever I felt like cold is getting to me I would have a hot tea and take echinacea drops. It helped me feel better within few hours and escape the cold all together.
