Mooncup The Original Menstrual Cup - Size A

I've just bought my second ever Mooncup because my first one has a leak in the bottom, but that one lasted about 20 years. I love that it's good for my body, good for the planet and has saved me an absolute fortune in sanitary products. I have hardly ever had any problems with it either, not like leaky tampons. I went to several high street shops including a well known pharmacy, but they didn't have ANY reusable sanitary products! Well done Bodykind for selling them.

I got a size A because I`m 34 and have just had a baby. It worked really well. I like that you can cut the grabby thingy off shorter as I need it quite short. I also can`t really comprehend how it makes my periods shorter but it does! I like that I`m saving the planet and my wallet in the long term. Very pleased.

Brilliant product. I decided to try the mooncup after years of the usual sanitary towels but hated the feeling of leaking and sweatiness. I tried tampax for many years but hated the feeling of inserting and removing them if you weren`t in full flow. I can honestly say that I am sooo glad I tried the moon cup. What a difference. After lots of research I decided to but the mooncup. The site is great, it gives lots of advice about the product and how to select the correct size which was spot on. I have been using it for a few years now and I will admit, even though they are great and can be worn even when you think you are about to start right through to the very end, it does take a little while to get used to putting in and taking out. Love it....I now have 2 and looking to buy a third. Saves storage space as I don`t have any products in the box I used to use. Definitely not going back.
So many reasons to try this from environmental to personal. You would be mad not to at least try this product

I`ve been using menstrual cups for just over a year and have been really impressed with them. Needing a larger size cup, I decided to change brand and buy a Mooncup. I`m really happy with my purchase and actually prefer the Mooncup to the previous brand of menstrual cup that I was using.

There is plenty of helpful advice and information on the Mooncup website if you are having any difficulties using it. You could even buy some reusable/washable sanitary pads to wear if you want that extra bit of security.

An excellent environmentally friendly alternative to sanitary towels and tampons.

Amazing product. I will never go back to disposable sanitary products again! It takes a bit of getting used to but once you`ve got the hang of it, it`s great.

Great apart from emptying

This is the second Moon Cup I have purchased. So glad I gave it a try the first time, just wish I`d started using one years ago. So much easier especially on my lighter days when I can pretty much forget about it all day. On heavy days, which for me are very heavy, it can be a little trickier so I will wear a pad for peace of mind but this would be the same if I was using tampoms or the moon cup. Easy to use with a bit of practise and I would recommend practising using it before your period to get the technique right!

I LOVE it. Cant believe it has taken me this long to both realise it existed and to build up the courage to try it. There are so many benefits - no waste, no annoying string, no need to carry tampons / pads around, no discomfort inserting dry tampons and most importantly no more leaks! Strangely I feel like I have been liberated, and it is only my second day of using it. I was nervous beforehand, but it is so easy to use; as long as you are not timid about getting anything on your fingers, there is no need to worry. Also feel good for reducing my non-biodegradable waste. Couldnt recommend it more highly, it really has been my best purchase for a very long time!

2nd moon cup purchase. Removal took a little getting used to, was initially quite painful as I remastered the technique but I agree with the other 5 star reviews and efficient speedy delivery too

I really wish I`d started using one of these years ago. I`ve never been able to use tampons but I wanted to find a solution so I could swim while on my period so I thought I`d give a Mooncup a go and I`m honestly kicking myself that it`s taken me to my mid 30s to try it. I`ve had no discomfort and have found it easy to use from start. It`s so much more convenient, no more having to carry spare pads, finding a sanitary bin, no worry about leaks, no more discomfort with pads in warm weather... the list could go on!

Can`t believe I left it so long to try the the mooncup. Went with the advice on the size hoing on my age and method of birth of my daughter and it fits perfectly. I took the chance before my period started to get used to putting it in and removing it to see what works for me. So pleased with it. No more feeling like I`m wetting myself when using towels and no more dry dragging Feeling with tampax. No more worrying if I need to change yet either, or having to carry around products everywhere incase!! Honestly wish I`d done this years ago. And to think I`m helping the environment too!!!!

You can`t feel it when wearing it which I was worried about, it works perfectly and I wish I had bought one years ago

I literally cant stop raving about this to everyone I know. I found it easy to use, far, far more effective than tampons & towels combined, cleaner & better in every way. I literally cant find a downside. Buy it NOW!

Be wary of the size advice. I`d start small and go up if needed, unless you`ve had babies, with natural births. This is not easy to use at all to start with. I`ve tried lots of times to put it on, and I`ve come to the conclusion that despite having had a baby (though via a C section) and being over 30, I need the size under. I`ve since seen a friend`s cup, from another brand, and it is smaller. Having said this, another friend had a mooncup and is perfectly happy. As a conclusion, I`d say be prepared for the fact that the first cup you buy may not be the right one for you.

I wanted to give this a try as I found tampons difficult to use after having my children. I was a bit worried it would be messy and fiddly but I love my mooncup. After trimming the stem I found it quite comfortable and easy to put in and take out. It didn`t leave me feeling dry like a tampon and at the end of my period I realised I hadn`t created one bit of waste. Really pleased.

I was worried about using this product but I wish I had bought one sooner. I feel so much cleaner than I did with tampons and there is no waste. Buy one you won`t regret it.

Took a while to get used to, but I wouldn`t go back to tampons! I choose an A as I`m 30+ and have had a vaginal birth but I`m still quite small - when it arrived it looked massive and I could feel it the first couple of times I used it but it just took a few goes to get right - don`t give up - its just like using tampons for the first time. I found the punchdown fold the easiest way to insert. It was tricky to remove at first but you just need to push down and make sure to release the suction.

Fantastic product. Wish I had known about it years ago!!! Why are women NOT talking about it? It`s a bit fiddly to start but you get the hang of it.. highly recommend!!

I had been wanting to try a mooncup for some time. Then after reading how bad for the environment tampons are I decided it was time! So I purchased this one and I can honestly say I will never look back! It is truly amazing. Havent had one leak. Whereas I would always leak with
Tampons (even the super plus flow ones). This for me is the best thing ever! I now weirdly look forward to my period as get to use this. Its worth every penny. Its so comfy when using and cant even feel it there!

My first menstrual cup! The first few days were a bit fiddly and then I got used to it. I am delighted with it!

My first experience of using a menstrual cup - very happy with the cost and environmental friendliness. A bit uncomfortable at first for insertion and removal, but once in place cannot feel it and not worry of leakage. Insertion and removal was easier after a little practice.

I tried another menstrual cup and had nothing but leakage no matter what I tried. I was recommended moon cup by a friend and could actually say its a life changer! The whole of my period there was no leakage and I could even just forget I was on my period. Even survived the intense gym workout with no leaks. I love the fact I can leave it in overnight with out worrying about TSS! Highly recommend

Easy to use and not uncomfortable at all

Very honest review here. I wish I`d heard of these years ago. Two reasons for my purchase, environmental and I was looking for a tampon alternative. I have suffered for years with heavy periods, using tampons and pads at the same time and not uncommon for me to change almost every 1&1/2 hour over the first couple of days. I ordered the right size based on very good customer service help at Mooncup. I have had 2 c-sections and am over 30. First attempt was a little fiddly but once relaxed was to easy insert, again same for removal, just getting the knack and relaxing, except when using your pelvic muscles! After a couple of times I`d figured it out. My biggest worry was leakage, which only happened slightly once but after working out how often to empty the cup I had no issues, around every 3&1/2 hours, which for me is a huge improvement. I didn`t use a single tampon this cycle and even used the cup at nightime, and I hardly used any pads. Personally I found the bleeding was over quicker, nowhere near as bad cramping as with a full tampon and no dry/dragging feeling. Absolute life changer for me and definitely recommend trying it. Bodykind was competitively priced and quick service.

I can`t believe I have only just started using this - it`s amazing! Easy to insert and remove, clean and effective - I went swimming, ran, did all my usual activities and had no issues at all.

Wish I`d known about menstrual cups sooner - save so much money, time and effort! Really advise anyone unsure if it`s for them to give it a go, I was so doubtful but have now been using a cup for two years! Had to replace my first cup and this brand seems great so far. Really good value and speedy delivery.

Im a convert, was a little worried but mainly got the hang of it for second period. Once youve trimmed the stem you cant feel it and can leave it be for a long time (I realised I didnt need to remove and empty as much as I thought I would). Yes its a bit fiddly to start with but once youve got the knack for insertion, how low to put it and removal its great. Would recommend you have a try if youre considering it, the price here is great too.

Great product. It took a bit of getting used to and trying different insertion techniques. I find lube helps! But second cycle in I`m getting the hang of it. I love helping reduce sanitary wastage and plastic.
