From our suppliers to the products we stock and the packaging materials we use, where possible, we have moved away from unsustainable options and embraced healthier choices. Sourcing products of higher quality usually means a more ethical supply chain and sustainable manufacturing practices.
Our products often aren't the cheapest in the market, and we make no apology for that. We think paying a fair price for a premium quality product is the best way to create satisfaction and a more sustainable future for everyone.
We've moved away from using plastics in our packaging materials and embraced more sustainable choices, including:
- Replacing polystyrene packing chips with a natural biodegradable starch alternative that can be dissolved in water or added to your compost heap.
- Recycling all cardboard boxes we receive by shredding them to create infill as protection for glass and delicate products in our packaging. Thus reducing our need for new cardboard.
- Removing plastic-based tape for securing boxes and introducing a sustainable and recyclable paper alternative.
We are keen to reduce our carbon footprint even further, and a part of that endeavour is solar energy. At bodykind, we have just started the tender process to choose a supplier to install a bank of solar panels and storage batteries at bodykind HQ.
Renewable energy, such as solar, will safeguard the entire planet's cheap and accessible energy supplies. And the sooner we all migrate to more renewable energy sources, the better.
