The SELFCheck Pregnancy Blood Test is a simple finger prick blood test used to detect the pregnancy hormone hCG in the blood rather than urine. The test will give you a fast, reliable result within five minutes.

Blood tests can be more reliable than urine tests for showing that you are pregnant and are sometimes used in hospital labs to confirm a urine pregnancy test. Unlike urine pregnancy tests, you can use a blood test at any time of the day, and the results are unaffected by dilution from drinks. You may get a positive result with the SELFCheck pregnancy blood test before you would with a urine test.

You can use a blood test at any time of the day or night, making them more convenient than a urine pregnancy test which usually advises using an early morning urine sample. The SELFCheck Pregnancy Blood Test can detect pregnancy earlier than most urine tests because the hCG hormone produced in the placenta is first released into the blood and then into the urine.

Kit Includes:

• Sealed foil pouch containing one test device
• Plastic pipette and one desiccant pack
• One dropper bottle containing 1ml of diluent
• Two sterile lancets
• One alcohol pad
• One instruction leaflet

How To Use:

• ALWAYS read the instruction leaflet BEFORE touching the components
• DO NOT press the lever on the finger pricker lancet until the end of the lancet is pressed firmly against your finger. The lancets supplied are single-use for hygiene reasons and the needle will retract into the plastic casing of the lancet once used. The lancets supplied are those used in clinical practice and although a further lancet is supplied for your convenience it should not be needed if the instructions are followed as written
• Your blood drop and diluent drops must be added to the sample well. DO NOT add the diluent drops to the results window as you will get an invalid result

• Store in a cool dry place out of sunlight
• Please read the enclosed instruction leaflet carefully before use
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use the test after the expiry date
• Use the test and lancet only once
• Do not use a damaged lancet
• Do not take apart the test card
• Store between 4 celsius and 30 celsius
• For external use only. After use, the test components can be disposed of with normal household waste
• There is no danger from any test component provided you have used all the components according to the instruction leaflet
