Udos Choice Babies & Toddler's Blend has been designed to reflect healthy infant microflora. It contains six bacterial strains specifically formulated to be suitable for the digestive health of babies and young children up to five years of age.

The bifidobacteria, including Bifidobacteria Infantis, Bifidobacteria Bifidum and Bifidobacteria Breve, should represent the largest population of beneficial bacteria in babies. Babies pick up these friendly bacteria from their mothers during their passage through a clean and healthy birth canal.

Studies show that Bifidobacteria Infantis was found in approximately 60% of full-term newborn babies born vaginally and only 9% of babies born by caesarean section.

Formula-fed babies also have significant differences in their gut microflora composition because the heat used to pasteurise formula kills all bacteria.

Udos Choice Babies & Toddler's Blend may be frozen. Refrigeration ensures maximum potency and stability; however, they can be left unrefrigerated for short periods of time, making them convenient for travel.

All Udos Choice probiotics are over-filled to allow for a period of time, up to 72 hours, in transit out of refrigeration. You can freeze them at home to prolong the activity of the product for up to 2 years. The re-frozen and thawing process should not affect the potency of the product negatively.
